Pender Place is located in the city of Maitland, approximately 160 kilometres North of the Sydney CBD and approximately 35 kilometres North West of Newcastle. Maitland Town Centre is the major commercial, retail, community and education centre within the Maitland municipality.

The centre is bound by Ken Taubman Drive, the main street for local traffic, Church Street & Elgin Street. The site is located approximately 150 metres from Maitland’s High Street, the traditional retail thoroughfare which contains numerous commercial and retail uses.
